Pivot Demo Bikes @ My Mountain

For those regular visitors to MMHQ and My Mountain Online, you will likely have seen the new 2011 range from Pivot Cycles appear in store and on our website in the last 3 months or so. Providing the next level of frame quality and suspension performance with the DW Link rear suspension design, Pivot are hitting the mountain bike market hard, building an enviable reputation in a short space of time with impressive reviews of their bikes the World over.

Although we have Pivot mountain bikes in stock, a lot of folks are unaware that we also have demo bikes in store too. We provide this service for those who want to experience the quality for themselves, with the ability to try out the DW Link suspension on the trails that they ride on.

The venerable Pivot Mach 4 that helped Jason English take out the 24 hour Solo World Championship last year, is available in both Large and Small sizes to demo.

Starting at just $2599 for the frameset, the Pivot Mach 4 is available in 6 different build kits or as a custom build depending on your taste and budget. Check out the Mach 4 here.

Also in store is the Pivot Mach 5.7 - the brands 140mm All Mountain bike. With almost 6" of travel front and rear, the 5.7 is the perfect bike for riding really technical and steep terrain, such as the more technical trails out at You Yangs and Stonefly out at Mt Buller.

Maintaining the wickedly efficient DW Link suspension system, the Mach 5.7 is far from being an energy-sapping DH bike, as it provides responsive acceleration and sharp handling in a longer travel chassis.

Check out the Pivot Mach 5.7 here, which starts at just $2699 for the frameset.

The staff at My Mountain have a lot of praise for the Pivot Mach 4, as with a lot of the product we sell, we like to try them out for ourselves and see what all the hype is about. And let us tell you - these bikes do everything all those glowing reviews say they do.

"Given the pedalling efficiency and quick handling, I was totally expecting the bike to be nervous and twitchy..... it isn't" - Ben (Senior Mechanic)

"Although there's only 100mm travel out back, the rear suspension is really composed and feels like it builds momentum the rougher the terrain is" - Wil (Store Manager)

"This bike is fast. Really fast" - Crusty (Head Honcho)

If you want to see these beasts up close, come into MMHQ in Brunswick and check out our fleet of Pivot bikes on the floor. In the meantime, here's a sweet video of the main man behind Pivot, Chris Cocalis, talking up his bikes.
